# Search Google

The Search Google step will perform a Google search query on your behalf and return a list of results from the first few pages of Google. You can search over:

* Websites (default Google search)
* News Articles (Google News)
* Research Papers (Google Scholar)

The Search Results will be returned in plain text, as a list of search results including each result’s title, description (preview), and the URL.

## Options

| Name        | Type       | Description                                                               |
| ----------- | ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Search Term | Plain Text | The query to search for.                                                  |
| Type        | Dropdown   | Which data source to search: Websites, News Articles, or Research Papers. |

## Outputs

## Tips

* You can use [Google search operators](https://ahrefs.com/blog/google-advanced-search-operators/) to refine your search, such as only retrieving websites or news articles created within a time range.
